Information we collect
You can read Refacto AI without creating an account. We collect:
- Information you give us. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store the email address you provide so we can send it and let you unsubscribe. If you email us or leave a comment, we keep what you send.
- Usage & device data. Like most websites, our servers and providers automatically log standard technical data — IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view — to operate the site, keep it secure, and understand what's read.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our providers use cookies and similar storage for analytics and advertising, described below.
How we use information
- To deliver the newsletter and the website, and respond to you.
- To measure and improve what we publish (which stories are read, how the site performs).
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
- To display advertising that helps fund the site.
We do not sell your personal information.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic — for example which articles are popular. These tools may set cookies or process your IP address to produce aggregate statistics.
Advertising and third-party vendors
Refacto AI may display ads served by Google, including through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices and, in the EU, youronlinechoices.eu.
For more on how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's Privacy & Terms.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected] and we'll respond.
Data retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above (for example, your subscription email until you unsubscribe), and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Children
Refacto AI is a business publication intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site means you accept the current policy.
