Microsoft Agent Framework GA adds Magentic multi-agent orchestration
agent-framework engineering orchestration tool-use
Full analysis
Microsoft has announced general availability (GA) of multi-agent orchestration patterns within the Microsoft Agent Framework, including the Magentic pattern — a dynamic approach to coordinating multiple AI agents working together on complex tasks. The Magentic pattern reportedly achieved 38% on the GAIA benchmark (a standard test for general AI assistants) and competitive results on AssistantBench and WebArena, which measure web-browsing and assistant task performance. This GA release signals that Azure AI Foundry's agent tooling is mature enough for production use, giving enterprise builders a supported, benchmarked path to orchestrate fleets of agents.
