CrewAI 1.15.11 adds IBM Db2 tool and enterprise account linking
agent-framework coding-agents reliability tool-use
CrewAI's 1.15.11 release is a small update with one tell worth noting: the new project_id field that ties open-source usage back to enterprise accounts. That's the classic open-core move, making the free version visible to the paid funnel. The IBM Db2 tool and AMP surfacing in the spec file are real additions, but the account linking is where CrewAI's business is being built.
Full analysis
CrewAI released version 1.15.11 of its open-source multi-agent framework, introducing an IBM Db2 database search tool that expands the built-in tool library agents can call. The release also adds a project_id field to link open-source (OSS) usage to enterprise accounts, and surfaces AMP (Autonomous Multi-agent Pipelines) in the AGENTS.md spec file while adding telemetry detection for coding agents. Several security fixes were bundled, including bumping aiohttp and cryptography to clear six GHSA (GitHub Security Advisory) vulnerability advisories.
