Google Cloud has announced a fully managed remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server for its BigQuery Data Transfer Service (DTS), currently in Preview. MCP is an emerging open standard that lets AI applications and agents discover and interact with external data sources and tools in a structured way. With this addition, developers can connect AI agents directly to BigQuery DTS, enabling them to programmatically discover available data sources and configure or execute data transfers on a user's behalf.
