Full analysis
In May 2026, several AgentCore components reached new maturity milestones. The AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit — infrastructure-as-code tooling) constructs for AgentCore graduated from alpha to stable in the main CDK library, giving developers backward-compatibility guarantees for defining runtimes, memory, gateways, and identity resources. Separately, AgentCore Registry — a centralized catalog for agent discovery and governance covering agents, tools, skills, and MCP servers — entered public preview, as did AgentCore Harness, a managed deployment target providing tools, memory, identity, and observability through three API calls and supporting models from Bedrock, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Gemini.
